2009-2010 LDMA AWARD CEREMONY
The Lalit Doshi Memorial Foundation and SICOM Limited have jointly
instituted an award , which is annually given to a SICOM assisted unit
showing outstanding performance .
For the year 2009-2010 , Perfect Circle India Limited , Nashik is the
recipient of Award and Padmaja Packaging Industries Limited , Ichalkaranji ,
Kolhapur is the recipient of additional award .
Perfect Circle India Limited belongs to Anand group which is one of the
leading group in Automotive component sector. Mr Deep C Anand is the main
promoter of the group. Perfect Circle India Limited (PCIL) has set up
manufacturing facilities at Satpur MIDC , Nashik in 1976. The company
manufactures piston rings , plates etc. Sales turnover in 2009-10 was about
Rs 81 crores. Exports constitute about 30% of the Company’s total sales.
Customers include Ashok Leyland, M & M, Cummins Ltd, Greaves, Kirloskar Oil
Engines Ltd, etc.
Padmaja Packaging Industries Ltd. (PPIL) has a manufacturing unit in Yadrav,
Ichalkaranji, Dist Kolhapur for the manufacture of high quality offset
printed corrugated boxes which are used for packaging. Shri Santosh Kunjeer
is the Chairman and Managing Director of the Company. The company has both
carton manufacturing and offset printing facilities. The raw material paper
is Duplex board and kraft paper. The installed capacity is about 150 lac
cartons p.a. The sales turnover of the company was about Rs. 12 crores in
2010. The clientele includes Crompton Greaves , Wipro, Bharati Airtel and
Tata Sky etc.
These awards were presented on 6th August, 2010 at 6.00 pm at Y.B. Chavan
Centre Auditorium, J.B. Marg, Near Sachivalaya Gymkhana, Mumbai – 400 021.
Dr. Shashi Tharoor , Member of Parliament for Thiruvananthapuram , delivered
the sixteenth Lalit Doshi Memorial Lecture on
“Reshaping the World :Challenges for an India In Transformation ”.
