15th LDMA AWARD CEREMONY
The Lalit Doshi Memorial Foundation and SICOM
Limited have instituted an award , which is annually given to a SICOM
assisted unit having outstanding performance .
For the year 2008-09 , Bajaj Steel Industries Limited is the LDMA Winner and
Shree Raj –Rajeshwary Pap-Chem Industries Pvt. Ltd. Sinnar , Nasik is an
additional award winner.
BSIL is one of the largest & Modern Cotton Ginning & Pressing Machinery
Manufacturers in India and has modern plant at Hingana MIDC, Nagpur. The
Company has developed Double Roller Cotton Gins which are being marketed
under the brand name of “ Bajaj D.R.Gin” so far and over 45000 machines have
been supplied by the company. BSIL has about 70% market share in India. BSIL
also exports these machineries to various countries like Egypt, Myanmar,
Uganda, Zimbawe, Tanzania, Namibia, Pakistan, etc. The company has achieved
sales turnover of Rs 179 Crores in 08-09 .
The Shree Raj –Rajeshwary Pap-Chem Industries Pvt. Ltd. Sinnar , Nasik was
incorporated in September 1995. The installed capacity of paper unit is 90
TPD. In the year ended March 31, 2009, the company had a gross turnover of
more than Rs. 45 crores with a production of more than 22500 tonnes.
These awards were presented on 4th August, 2009 at 6.00 pm at Y.B. Chavan
Centre Auditorium, J.B. Marg, Near Sachivalaya Gymkhana, Mumbai – 400 021.
Dr. Anil Kakodkar Chairman , Automic Energy Commission & Secretary ,
Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India delivered the fifteenth
Lalit Doshi Memorial Lecture on “Nuclear Energy in India : Way Ahead ”
